Scott received his degree in advertising design from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Scott then worked as a professional illustrator and began creating numerous illustrations for international clients. However, Scott not only yearned to illustrate, but he also longed for the team spirit, physical challenges and camaraderie that are so visibly associated with the fire service. Ultimately, Scott chose to take the best of both careers.

Now as an experienced firefighter and professional illustrator, Scott's artistic talent and compassion for his fellow man have culminated in a style of painting that's emotionally and vividly realistic in authenticity and detail. His art, like his firefighting career, is a labor of love that brings home all of the emotions of putting one's life on the line every day while serving his fellow man, humbly, and without praise.
